About the Piraeus Startup Accelerator Ioannina

The Piraeus Startup Accelerator Ioannina was designed to provide both new and existing startups with the opportunity to grow and expand into local and international markets.

Implemented in collaboration with the “Point of Synergy” Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub, the program focuses on fostering entrepreneurial culture across the Greek region, with emphasis on Thrace (Xanthi, Komotini, Alexandroupoli), Ioannina, and Patras.

Through this initiative, startups, researchers, and members of local communities gain the tools and expertise needed to transform their ideas or technologies into viable business solutions (Minimum Viable Products – MVPs). In addition, the program offers access to a strong network of specialized professionals and companies that support new entrepreneurs throughout their professional journey.

Participants will receive:

  • Specialized training (at least 16 hours) on developing a business idea into a startup and creating MVPs (partner selection, product design, fundraising, legal and tax issues, startup marketing fundamentals, investors’ pitch).
  • Strategic mentoring from experienced professionals in technology, marketing, business development, and banking.
  • Networking opportunities with investors, organizations, and other startups.
  • Financial support, through a competition offering a total of €5,000 per team for the development and testing of their MVP.

Program Objectives

The Piraeus Startup Accelerator Ioannina aims to:

  • Promote sustainable entrepreneurship, with emphasis on environmental and social responsibility.
  • Create equal opportunities for young people with vision across the Greek region.
  • Strengthen the local economy by supporting entrepreneurial activity outside major urban centers.
  • Enhance innovation by supporting new ideas and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Accelerate business growth, focusing on customer base expansion and entry into new markets.
  • Foster networking and collaboration among startups, universities, investors, and organizations.

The Opening Event of the Piraeus Startup Accelerator Ioannina aspires to become a key reference point for the region’s innovation ecosystem, strengthening collaboration among businesses, institutions, and emerging entrepreneurs.

Through its participation in the Piraeus Startup Accelerator Ioannina, Terracom reaffirms its strong commitment to supporting innovation and enhancing Epirus’ technological footprint within the national ecosystem.
